Last Minute Gifts, Calendar Giveaway, and Zuzu’s Favorite Story

Thank you for entering to win one of two kitty calendars that include calendar boy Maxx alongside many beautiful and squee-worthy others. We wish we had thirty-three more calendars to pass along, one for each of you who entered, but we only had two to give away. (Note to self: Get more next year!)

We printed out all the entries, cut them out, and spread them on a big piece of felt. After an initial bout of WTF-ery, Maxx wanted nothing more than to lay on the group of email entries (ooo, felty!) and drool, like he does. Just in case he didn’t find any two to his liking, we had an Internet random selection picker waiting in the wings, (no, not Viola like we used in our last giveaway).

Sleepy Pia and Niblet Updates

Niblet Updates! Apparently, the Niblets are a toy-lovin’ bunch!

Talliah (Robbie) family says in response to Viola’s question on whether there are enough toys or not: “Viola’s sister wonders the same. Talliah is not afraid to tell you all about it too. Her absolute favorite is the mouse on a stick. She will play with it longer than I can. Then of course it’s onto the lap to be petted until sleep comes. Then perhaps over to the patio door to watch leaves blow by and the occasional squirrel or chipmunk and dream of chasing them.”

In response to Zuzu going all crazy-pants over toys, Russell’s family says Russell looks just like his mama Zuzu when playing with the Neko Fly!

Lastly, another nap. I’m snuggling with my favorite toy from my boyfriend (sending winter kisses, D!) in a brilliant sunpuddle, and thankfully, mom’s photo is washed out enough to almost protect me from identification.

Viola says: I have lots of toys. Technically, the toys belong to everyone but not everyone plays with them. It’s not like there’s dried spit on every single toy. Lots of the toys in this Trap-a-Cat box hardly have anyone else’s smell on them, other than mine!

Let’s see, there’s an IKEA rat here – he’s buddies with big brother Maxx’s Busy Bee, a couple of kick sticks, two crinkle balls, a swirly ring, a catnip pillow, a leather mouse, a braided felt pull, and a milk jug ring.

Of all my the toys, I think I might like this Neko Fly the best. It’s seen better days, my dad says, because the fur is almost gone. My mama Zuzu likes to chew on it a lot. I don’t mind my mama’s spit ‘cuz she’s my real mama.

She’s showing me her best left-handed whappy paw here and I’m trying to mirror her moves. She’s good!

But of all the toys here, and there are lots, sometimes the best toys are the simplest ones. I LOVE feathers the best! Luckily for me, there’s usually one or two of these things lying around outside. A quick wash and dry and I’m free to play to my heart’s content.

Or until I bat it under the refrigerator. Gee, there must be enough feathers under there by now to make up a whole bird! And when that toy comes out to play, I’ll be all over it!
