06/16/2015 – Ruby Tuesday
This is the window in my room. I like it because I’m way up high, higher than birds fly sometimes. I can watch everything in our backyard from here, including my mom who works out there every chance she gets. Goofy woman. I’d like it much better if she’d stay in here to nap the day away with me instead of digging up tree stumps or hauling dirt around. She sure would smell better, I can assure you of that!
Anyhoo, in the morning the sun shines on me here on the window ledge, making me feel toasty warm. Later in the day, when the sound of the water fountain doesn’t put me to sleep, I keep an eye on those visitor cats, the rodenty squirrels, and sometimes I see blue feathers swooping from tree to tree.
There’s one of those things now! Do you see it in the upper left corner? That might a bird, or something else entirely. Either way, I’d like to learn to swoop like that. I’d swoop over mom and squawk, “It’s Nap Time, Nap Time!” And she might even listen to me.
