It’s cold and still winter time.
For me, short days and long naps are fine.
A silly time change is almost near.
Building nap forts is my career.
Still that day is coming along.
Gives me reason to break out in song.
La-la-la-LA-LA-LA!
Daylight saving time begins Sunday when we move our clocks up one hour. Enjoy that last extra bit of time. You know where Quint will be spending his!
Dad’s supervising some very noisy maintenance work being done in our backyard this week and it’d be a pretty safe bet that all the Colehaus Cats are annoyed at the disruption.
Pia offers her piercing glare from the safety of her favorite hiding spot under the bed. Even though her soft, comforting ham-mick beckons from mere inches away, she prefers to meet her noise enemy sitting up, paws and claws at the ready, while running Fight or Flight scenarios through her gingery head.
Above her head, Quint hides in his daily bed fort with Olivia at his side and Tessa burrows nearby into Dad’s pillowcase, undoubtedly, leaving him gift tuffs of gray fur.
Meanwhile, downstairs with a full view out the back door, Viola’s worried eyebrows create a cute wrinkly forehead that begged kissing and Dad’s reassurances. She’s a brave girl.
It didn’t take long before Mr. MewMew ended his visit in our noisy backyard. “Enough,” he said and stormed off across the street. Fine with us. He was probably harassing the birds anyway.
