In April of 2012, Tessa came to us as a very feisty young kitten possessing all the attitude of three Tuxedo cats, plus two. Yet, at rest (which isn’t often), she’s a proper little lady and keeps her soft white glove paws criss-crossed. She’s the only Colehaus Cat, past or present, who does this and we think it’s the cutest thing ever. Mom can’t resist kissing those paws, despite knowing where they’ve been, and Tessa doesn’t mind one bit.

Now, Tessa is the oldest Colehaus Cat at ten years and about a month. She snuggles with Mom and Dad on her own timeline and gives Mom kisses on command about once a week. Tessa’s starting to slow down a little bit, nothing dramatic, nothing to worry about. She still finds all the trouble to be found and as always, seems to enjoy that life calling. After a couple of mis-starts last year, she transitioned from exclusively dry kibble to wet food in January and still enjoys three pieces of kibble each morning before Mom heads off for work.
And as you can see, she’s still a proper lady with criss-crossed paws.
