You may recall a certain Viola Niblet made a deal with her Dad a month ago for her return of her Island Box.
True to his word, Dad returned the kitchen Island Box for his favorite little girl but it’s not exactly the same. Don’t think Viola doesn’t notice. Oh yes, she notices all righty!

The old one smelled like someone barfed in it because, indeed, someone had barfed in it.

This box is the top off a taller box that Mom thought might be a good cubby-hole box full of warm, fleecy blankets. That box was ignored for 4 solid months and Mom nixed that idea, choosing to cut off the top for a new Island Box.

This box is on the floor and tucked against the kitchen island. Why? Because, like it or not (and she does not like it), Viola is aging and her sproingy legs now have trouble jumping up onto the kitchen island. And as you also may recall, Viola broke a tooth last fall when she jumped down from the kitchen island to the floor.
But wait! Our agreement didn’t have all that info in it!
You’re right, little girl. Our agreement said nothing about returning the exact same box or putting it back UP onto the kitchen island. This box is still technically touching the island and is safer and you have more room to lounge in it. You’ll still have crinkle paper changed out every week and you can still keep an eye on everyone. What’s not to like?
