Hi, it’s me, Quint. I’m not complaining or anything but it’s a good thing I’m comfortable on this warm, fleecy mat because, apparently, this is blanket washing day, and you get one guess as to where my fort blanket is. Can you hear it? It’s sloshing away in the washer, taking all my smells away. Mom says I’ll like it even better when it comes fresh out of the dryer.
Here’s the thing: I like it either way . . . BUT, I like it extra good when it smells comfortably like me, like I’d just got up from a nap to grab a bite to eat and then, come back to snuggle in it with all my nap smells there, waiting for me again. Tell me that doesn’t sound wonderful? You can’t, can you?
Funny side note: The other day I might have been complaining – I’m not a complaining kind of boy, and I yeowed something about being tired of waiting for warms, and my Mom thought I said I was tired of waiting for WORMS. She has gardening-brain right now. I think she loves gardening just as much as I love my fort blanket which she promises will be going into the dryer any minute now.

In a minute . . . ah, there it goes. Sorry, warm mat. You and me? Our time together is almost at an end.

You definitely don’t want to be waiting for worms, Quint! Flynn used to dig up earthworms and I would find chewed up pieces all over the place.
You should have got your fort blanket back by now. I bet it was lovely and snuggly warm fresh out of the dryer.
