With Angel Ruby gone over the Bridge, our bedroom is open to any and all Colehaus Cats for the first time since December 2012. Naturally, Tessa and Miss Newton are the first to take over Dad’s side of the bed (Mom sighs with relief).

Until everyone finds the open bedroom, most cat conversations still occur downstairs. Pia seems to run most of these meetings.

And then, magic happened! Five of six Colehaus Cats lumped together, effectively taking over all 947 square feet of bed space, graciously leaving 3 square feet for Mom and Dad to “comfortably” sleep, like you do.

And where was that sixth Colehaus Cat?

Up on the top of Ruby’s tower, alternating between napping and surveying all fit to be surveyed. And staying out of Tessa’s hair . . . er, fur.

Here’s an 80-piece online jigsaw puzzle of Viola on the Tower photo above to start your week off, courtesy of JigSawPlanet.com. Have fun!

  7. Bernadette says:

Isn’t it funny how that happens? At first it seems as if they don’t notice and might even be avoiding it out of some feline suspicion, then suddenly you find them all enjoying it at once. I hope that helps to heal a little of the loss.

  8. Brian Frum says:

Yep, we do understand what it is like when the reshuffling occurs. Love the kitty pile on the bed!
