What a week this has been! It’s been hot and muggy and I was fur-clipped again and had my nails snipped against my will! Mom’s been extra busy trying to do all those things she promised herself she’d do before this weekend, and failing at most of them. Hey, Mom! You can’t scrub rooms, repaint spots, steam clean floors, read 12 books, jog a mile, and learn drums all in a day! Stop ignoring me!

The good thing is, she’s been too busy to try to photograph toys on my head like all those other silly cats are putting up with. Toys are for playing with, not wearing! Someone tell her this, please, because she’s gone downright bonkers over it!

Meanwhile, I’m internalizing Patrol Sergeant lessons I got from Sunny who passed the position to me when she had to go. I’d like to jump right into the job but someone’s always grabbing me to do things like clean my ears or comb out a mat. When I’m officially the Patrol Sergeant, all that nonsense will be brought to a halt or else someone’s gonna get a ticket!

Pia, Mom said to tell you that you made her day. She said you sound just like us with the grumbling. We’ve both been grumbling lately ‘cuz it’s been raining and we can’t go outside. However, Mom keeps going out and running around doing stuff. Doesn’t the rain make her wet, too????

We used to have toys like that one in the 2nd picture. TBT doesn’t mind stepping on most of our toys in the dark, but those ones got painful and they all get put in a bowl on a shelf one day.
