Welcome Pia to Colehaus Cats! May 2012 © Colehaus Cats.
The day has arrived! Welcome Pia Bean (a.k.a. Bo)! A big THANK YOU to West Columbia Gorge Humane Society. And especially, Foster Mom D who cared so well for her, THANK YOU!
Temporarily ensconced in her lavish bedroom retreat, little Pia is enjoying all the perks of sequestered kittenhood: The finest food, the freshest water, twice a day litter scooping, humans at her beck and call. And call she does. Pia has the tiniest, squeakiest, highest pitched mew ever. Who wouldn’t want to rush to her attention with that teensy voice?
Answer: NO ONE! The cute is extra strong with this one.
Pia is eating and drinking well and is up to two pounds, five ounces. She’s had her shots and her first nail trimming (Oh boy! Mom can begin healing!) She’s also laid claim to a number of straws and a “crinkle mouse” as her personal toys of choice. As has been a rule here at Colehaus, naturally the green straws garnered her attention first, and were the first to disappear under the nightstands. No worries! Here’s Tessa’s red straws! Nom, nom, nom… Good thing Colehaus is well stocked with red straws.
A week later, Newton took to Pia from the start, as did Seth (it’s an orange cat thing, they swear), but the road was bumpy meeting Tessa. Of course, that was yesterday. Today they are tearing up the hallway, chasing each other left and right. Next month, we predict we won’t be able to separate the two. We think Tessa will have Pia believing she’s gray, not orange. Or maybe it’ll be the other way around!
