Ruby Tuesday.

Awww, Ruby’s finally back in her 2nd room; home of southern light and heated beds, scratchy posts and more toys than any pile ‘o cute cats probably ought to have, when suddenly…

Maxx and His Rat.

Maxx and his second favorite toy.

This is my rat. I like it almost as much as I like my Busy Bee, whom I tell everything to. I used to share all my secrets with my rat but he betrayed me once and now things aren’t the same.

You see, while this is my rat, he’s not the first rat in my life. My favorite of all rats, Rat Number One was swayed to the dark side by that buff-colored cat, Miss Newton who took Rat Number One and made it her bitch own.

I apologize for that vulgar word. You didn’t need to hear that. It’s just,…that rat made me so mad! I hear Miss Newton carries it everywhere, up and down the stairs, from room to room, into the kitchen to snuggle with under the dining table. Mind you, I haven’t seen that in person, and I don’t want to either! She loves on him and is probably eeking secrets out of him all the time. Typical. Rats aren’t be trusted. That’s why even though I keep this one close, he isn’t my bestest rat. I know someday he’ll join Rat Number One and so the secrets I tell him…are fibs. Well, mostly.

He’s second rat around here and I’m not going to let him forget it. At least, that’s what I tell him.

Do I have to? – 2013 © Colehaus Cats

It’s me again, Danger Cat Tessa. This should have been Miss Newton’s day or Pia’s or that ham of a brother Quint’s day on Colehaus Cats. But as you can see, here I am. I’m only here because Mom said I had to assure concerned people that I was working on not getting into so much trouble. It was just a week ago when somehow, someone posted photos of me allegedly causing all kinds of havoc. I’m pretty sure I was framed.

Anyhoo, I’m here to say I only got up on the short wall once or twice in the last seven days and that was only because I forgot not to.

And when I was up there, I didn’t jump over the big, elevenity-billion foot chasm to the extra high windowsill. At least not today.

I’ll admit to looking over the edge of the short wall railing way, way down to the foyer floor far below just once.

Wait, that’s not right….okay, maybe I did it twice….

Yep, twice. And I jumped once. Just once! But I swear I thought I saw a bug way down there. Geesh! Leave it to Mom to capture the wrong evidence.

But cut me some slack. At least when I snooze up there, I don’t roll around too close to the edge!

Honestly, I don’t see what the big deal is. I’m careful, already! Would this mug lie to you?
