Ruby Tuesday.
I’ve been thinking a lot the whole time I’ve been back in this bedroom, the room I love above all other places. And even with as much as I love it, and I really, really do love it, maybe that other room with the heated bed and the different window view wouldn’t be too terribly bad to check out every great once in a while. I mean, I really do love it here, what with having a whole room to explore, not that I’m much on exploring, and a big window to sniff fresh whiffies at and snuggling and sleeping with Dad and that human lady every night and feeling special and spoiled. What do you think? Should I become a two-room girl? Even given how I feel about this room? Did I mention I loved it? ’cause I do love it, I do!
Confessions by Olivia.
Hi! It’s Olivia here and it’s been awhile since we talked. I mean, really talked. You know how I work hard to be a good cat. I’m quiet and mind my manners. I don’t beg for food or jump up where I’m not allowed to. I don’t pick on anyone much and I hide under the covers so I don’t beat up on the noisy vacuum cleaner. But even with how extra good I am…I have confessions to make.
Last month, I purposely chewed up one of Quint’s favorite mousies. First I ate off the tail. Then, the ears. Then, most of the fur, and of what remained, I slobbered all over it and left it where he’d most like to find it. And if Dad hadn’t accidently vacuumed it up, boy oh boy, wouldn’t Quint have been surprised!
I spent a whole day imagining how awesome it would be to stick gooey stuff under Mom’s computer desk, but only if that gooey stuff s-l-o-w-l-y oozed down onto her legs.
And that day I had my pictures taken when I was pretending to be a statue, remember that? And Dad said not to jump from the platform over to the short wall railing? Well, not only did I want jump, I envisioned jumping back and forth a bunch of times, you know, just to prove to myself I could.
So anyway, I just thought you should know. Whew! I know I feel better now. Your turn.
