Dear Niblets,
Little ones, it’s been an absolute pleasure watching you grow from before your births to miniature cathood. You all are such easy-going, well adjusted mini cats now. Your social skills with visitors make our hearts swell with pride. Even your mama is on her very best behavior and doesn’t mind all the Niblet holding, snuggling and kissing. Is it possible there are better kittens out there? Maybe… but we don’t think so!

Patient Miss Illy with bitey brother Robbie – 2013 © Colehaus Cats
This week has been all about learning to purr and chase toys and each other. You’re learning how to jump up and down from higher places. You all gained weight just like you should though we’re still working to get a couple of you to eat more regularly. Russell and Illy, your pouncing skills are just about perfect! Our weeks with you are growing short, Niblets, but there’s still time to learn everything just right.

Viola’s Favorite Squiggle toy – 2013 © Colehaus Cats
Over the next three weeks, we’ll be watching to see which toy each of you love the most so when you leave for your forever homes, a tiny bit of foster home can go with you. Robbie, we know you love the plaid Boinks, Viola one of the Squiggle toys. Or is it the squeaky mousie this week? Russell, your favorite seems to be the palm leaf basket and while not technically a toy, we couldn’t imagine you without it. Illy, you love biting, licking and running through the Crinkly Time Tunnel of Fun, a big toy for sure, but you get more enjoyment out of it than anyone else. If your future forever family allows it, you can claim that as your own to take.

Foster mama Erinn Zuzu – 2013 © Colehaus Cats
And then there’s your mama Erinn Zuzu. We’ve decided she’ll stay here with us through the holidays, through her Spay Day and recovery, and recovery from each of you moving on to your new families. We know she, like us, will be so proud and happy for you! Beyond that, well, we’ll talk about that later.
A million kisses a day between now and then will never be enough, Niblets. We’ve come to love you so much; your cute faces and antics, your fuzzy bellies and tiny toesies, the way you climb into our laps and stare up into our faces as if memorizing every line and smile. Thank you for coming into our lives, little ones. Keep growing strong!
Kisses and Love,
your foster Mom & Dad
