Olivia here and now that January is over, boy, have I got some gossip news to report! Let me tell you everything Mom won’t.
First of all, and because I couldn’t forget this if I tried, have you seen my big brother Maxx lately? He says he’s still on his ‘diet’ (says this using ‘paw-quote’ signs) and what I’m seeing is him doing his ‘Maxx-ercise.’ *again with the paw-quotes*
Sweet Jell-O in a chair! Me thinks he’s been nipping at baby sister Viola’s kitten kibble too much lately! Mom says he’s fine and still on track, whatever that means. *rolls eyes*
Nextly, every time Mom leaves the room, Miss Newton mumbles stuff about wanting to be in more photos this year. *snicker* Yeah, this coming from my sister who wrote the book on escaping the camera!
Speaking of someone who probably won’t be getting more face-time, my bigger sister Tessa is in the doghouse BIG time! My Mom says she’s grounded for life for ruining an entire cabinet that can’t be replaced. I guess she peed on it a whole bunch. Uh, Tessa did, not my Mom, and that it was so ruined, it had to be thrown out. The worst part was she (again, my sister Tessa) peed on it while Mom was watching and that she (Tessa) had peed and peed and peed “Like there was no tomorrow,” or so Mom said.
Mom says Tessa’s v-e-t checkup came back fine and that she’s stress peeing (Tessa, again, not Mom although by this point, maybe Mom is too!) because she (Tessa) doesn’t like new sister Zuzu’s smell in our litter boxes. Personally, I think Tessa’s just being picky but what do I know?
My mom would like a moment to thank everyone who has sent her tips and tricks to help with Tessa, the Pee Queen. Mom’s happy to report she’s on the same page with most of the information and help and that Tessa is going on five days without an accident. Thank you, tipsters!
Anyhoo, Tessa is grounded to the big bedroom 24/7 and new sister Zuzu has graduated out of that bedroom 24/7. Mom says the timing is perfect for switching them now that sister Zuzu’s post surgery checkup showed she is doing very, very well. I kind of like new sister Zuzu and like that she’s out in the rest of the house with us. Well… I like her most of the time. She plays hard and for keeps!
And now that she’s had her surgery, Zuzu gets these goofy, happy looks on her face more often. I tell you, sometimes, it’s almost creepy! What does she have to be happy about? A grape has more fur on it than what she has on her belly!
If you think Tessa would be unhappy to be grounded, you haven’t seen Pia lately. She just found out Mom won’t be in town over Valentine’s Day Weekend and that’s going to cramp Pia’s secret plans to fly over to see her boyfriend Dexter of Cherry City Kitties. Boy, is the Bean ever upset; so upset, she’s not speaking to Mom!
Note to D: My secret name for my sister Pia when she’s upset is Grumps McBean. Our secret secret! Don’t tell her I told you!
Mom insists her absence can’t be helped. Pia isn’t listening. Mom says she’ll get over it. Pia sings, “La-la-la-la-la-I-can’t-hear-you-la-la-la.” It’s comical, I tell you!
And then something really comical happens. My brother Quint might be turning into a squirrel! At least his tail might be. Or maybe a opossum. I mean, LOOK AT THAT CURLY TAIL! Is that even normal? Why, I bet he could loop that over a curtain rod and dangle there for days with that! And he’d probably have his nose in an art book the whole time and not even notice. He’s an odd one, that brother of mine.
I can’t look at his tail anymore. Is it gone? Did you scroll past it? Good! Moving on, my sister Ruby has become a good Auntie to baby sister bunnyrabbit Viola and is teaching her to respect her elders. Apparently, even when her elders are nomming down the kitten chow!
Take note Miss Newton’s tail photobombing the picture there (hmmm, maybe she really will get into more photos…) Mom says to cut Ruby some slack because Ruby could stand a few more daily calories. I’m glad I don’t need any of those, being that I’m as sleek and perfect as they come!
And finally we come to the end. Literally! That baby sister bunnybutt Viola. She’s into everything!
So there it is. And now, you’re all caught up!
