Our Mom and Dad are wildly happy that October is almost over. We think they’re more happy about the cool weather and loads of rain that usually doesn’t get here until the last week of October, but arrived the first week of the month. I like summer’s warm weather. I guess I’m a warm weather kind of boy and even though it was hot here this year, I was building personal blanket forts all summer long.

One guess as to what I spend my days doing now.

Thanks for your patience. We’re going to let Mom gently ease back into blogging, after she was off for what seemed like FOREVER, by exhibiting some of that patience. Mind you, patience is a human word and definitely NOT a cat word any reasonable cat would ever use or entertain.

For example, I’m patiently sitting on this crinkle paper, listening for the softest of soft crinkly sounds, and that just happens to be on the forbidden kitchen table. Hey, I didn’t put this here. I’m just holding it down, patiently holding it down until Mom comes along and puts the paper in the crinkly paper closet.

Gingery, orange girls refuse to have patience; it’s a known fact! I chose to nap the days away while Mom was dilly-dallying with all kinds of chaotic things around here, like replacing a car tire because, apparently, roofing nails and rubber don’t mix, the upstairs washing machine hose that burst and the resulting water-spotted kitchen ceiling, and the flu that Dad brought home from the clinic, ironically, after getting his flu shot.

Mom has patience for all that nonsense but not me. Nope. I barely heard all the hollering. It was nothing but soft snoring for me. This girl knows what’s important!
