I’m waiting for my Mom to come home from work. She said she “might” have extra days off next week for a holiday break, but is a bit skeptical with all the recent talk of the plant staying open for inventory.
I want all my furs in place for when Mom comes home and gives me kisses. She promised me a lot if she gets holiday days off. I don’t think I’ll be happy if I don’t get my million kisses next week.
My Mom said she took a big risk over the past year by not using any vacation time, knowing she’d need the hours to pay for any holiday days off. It would be a shame to lose that time and time off by the end of the year if she was “volunteered” to work. Not to mention Dad’s disappointment. He gets his annual MRI tests done right after the 25th and needs Mom’s ride to the hospital and back. I don’t need a ride anywhere. I just want my kisses.
It’s getting late in the day and I’m still waiting. She should be home by now. Too much longer and this face is going to need emergency kisses!
I can’t believe my Mom isn’t home yet! I’m looking at the clock and I’m pretty sure it’s WAY past time for her to be here. C’mon Mom. Come home!
That’s it, not only will I insist on a million kisses tonight, I’m demanding belly kisses, too, and she had better deliver!
