We’re laughing at our Mom because she almost forgot how to do our blog, not that we’re blaming her after all the chaos we’ve been through since that rainy October 14th, to be exact, when Dad and his car had a boo-boo run-in with this thing called a water heater out in the garage and almost made the kitchen a drive-thru. A drive-thru without chicken nuggets, mind you!

Or less than three weeks later, on November 3rd, his car that had been repaired just a week before, might have lost its brakes and Dad drove into the garage door and wiped out the corner of our house. Those were both sounds our Mom says she hopes to never hear ever again, and we can assure you, they were LOUD!

So, what’s a cat to do when, for almost two months, the air is filled with hammering and pounding and sawing sounds of construction repairs the likes of which we can only imagine bugs hear when we pounce on them and eat ’em up! Cats aren’t bugs. We shouldn’t have to listen to all this racket!

And so, Mom read books to us – we still heard the hammering. And she played the radio – we still heard the pounding. And, finally, she pulled out all the holiday decorations – and some of us made good and sure those Christmas lights got in on the sawing sounds by trying to chew those up! You’re following our logic, right?

Mom said that wasn’t funny at all. Who’s laughing, Mom? Just give us those lights!

Thank you for having patience with us over the past couple of months. It’s been nothing short of hectic around here and we’ll fill you in on more in the coming weeks, including someone who had to go to the vet and some wonderful news about Pretty Boy Mac and his new forever home!

We’re trying to be understanding but we miss chatting with our blogging friends, too. We’re glad you’re back and we’re super happy about Mac. Hang in there and don’t eat the lights. 🙂
