Well, it’s this special. And unusual. Seeing Quint and Tessa close together on Dad’s bed is normal but seeing Viola mere feet away and taking up Quint’s fort blanket, no less, . . . is not normal.
Let’s see. Mom’s upstairs vacuuming. Okay, that could be part of it, though Viola’s not afraid of the vacuum cleaner. Mom turned off the upstairs ceiling fan for the season, a fan Viola is a, uh, fan of. That could be part of it. Or could it be that all upstairs cat blankets are in the laundry?
: : Ding! Ding! Ding! : : We think we have a winner here.
And just as soon as Mom called out that the blankets were coming out of the warm dryer . . .
. . . Viola headed back upstairs to her favorite spots now adored with fresh clean bedding . . .
. . . while Quint and Tessa snuggled even closer on Dad’s bed.
“No need for warm blankets down here, Mom. We have each other!”
