. . . and to really get ’em wondering, I sometimes look up at the ceiling and meow softly. I’m not talking to Ceiling Cat or spy a bug, though sometimes, I think I see a teensy gnat that no one else sees. I just do it because, well, because I can, so why not?

. . . and I swear, if she picks me up one more time today like I’m a baby, ruffling my fur like I’m a dog or something . . .

. . . why on Earth wouldn’t I look fabulous on toile, I told her. It wasn’t a question, more like a statement. Sometimes those people don’t engage their brains before they start spouting words. I mean, just look at my feet, on toile! Hello?

. . . again, I fail to see my name prominently displayed on my feeder! You, a marker, and three seconds is all it would take. Must we keep up with this charade day after day?

It would seem you have a few things to discuss with us, Tessa. Go ahead. We’re listening.

. . . zzzzzzzz . . . zzzzzzzzz . . . zzzzzzzzzzzz . . . zzzzzzzzzzzzz . . .

After several days of tears and worry, we sure needed this good news – Viola’s bloodwork came back perfect! No kidney or renal disease (that took her mama last September). And thanks to Fortiflora, that poop problem cleared up today. Sure, she isn’t happy that her backside is shaved; who would be?? Don’t answer that! Now, back to the job hunt. Thank you, Feline Medical Clinic!

  1. Tessa, your thoughts were riveting! Thanks for sharing with us. V, we’re so glad your medical status is good. Your peeps really don’t need any more stress right now.

  2. Rene S says:

Your feet are so super adorable, on toile or anything else!

  3. You have such sweet little toesies, Tessa. I am very glad Viola’s bloods results were good.

  4. katie isabella says:

Tessa! You look out STANDING (had to use that word) on toile…and I suspect any other thing you grace with your footies. Viola, thank heavens! I am so grateful to hear th good news. My mm has been giving me Fortiflora since my terrible time a year and a half ago. Mom was sure very bad things were going to happen. It was quite a blog I had to write. But Fortiflora took care of it and an antibiotic shot. My poopies are excellent now.

  5. da tabbies o trout towne says:

tessa you look FABulous with or with out toile; and I daresay your name SHOULD be on your feeding station, like oh em cod what if quint ate from your dish then you’ve got the whole “boy” issue going on and viola we all are BUZZED happy as the boys here say that your bloodwork came back so great and frankly in this heat I’m surprised more oh us haven’t shaved ~~~~~ hugs from dai$y =^..*= ♥♥♥

  6. Look at those feeding stations, standing like wee soldiers!
Tessa, keep being the best Tessa you can be, ’cause no one else is YOU!
Great news about Viola, and that job search will go well…I know it! Just give it some time…don’t panic…and enjoy the down time while you have it.
If you all want to move to Michigan, send your resume to me and I’ll get it around!

  7. Carolyn Kristof says:

    Oh. Those. Toes.

    Perfection.

  8. Madi and Mom says:

    Hugs madi and mom

  9. Tessa, it’s a rough life…isn’t it. 😉 We’re so glad Viola got a good report from the vet!

  10. We’re so intrigued by Tessa! Especially after we read about her incident(s) with her sister(s). Cat behavior fascinates me – though there’s no way to know for sure.

  11. Ellen Pilch says:

I am so happy for your good news. XO

  12. Mary McNeil says:

Hurrah for Viola’s good news ! Tessa, you are quite the philosopher !

  13. Glad to hear Viola’s good news!

  14. Summer says:

I’m so glad to hear the good news about Viola!
(Sorry Tessa, that kind of got our attention)

  15. Brian Frum says:

We loved your post Tessa and we are so happy for the good report for Viola. Good luck with the job hunt. We still don’t have internet and are working on cellular which sure isn’t easy.

  16. Tess, your words are very wise. And we agree…. your name on the feeder would be nice. Why do humans expect us to just know which bowls are ours? Our bowls don’t have names, either. And great news about Viola!

  17. meowmeowmans says:

Tessa, we liked your thoughts (and toesies on toile) very much! Hooray for that great news about Viola, too. We love you guys, and are purring and praying that you’ll get some good news on the job front real soon, too.
