05/23/2016 – MultiCat Monday with ManCat Supervision

For about a week now, when we come downstairs each morning, we’ve found some wire pulled out from the TV/Entertainment cabinet. Nothing is chewed or looks messed with. In fact, it’s usually nicely coiled up and lying there ready to be tucked back behind cabinet doors.

We couldn’t figure out the how or the why or who was responsible.

Until yesterday.

Quint, what are you doing??

Who? Me? Oh, well, your bass response isn’t what it should be. And given your IKEA cabinet material; those Swedish don’t know everything, you know, I’m a bit alarmed you hadn’t noticed the deadened sound quality yourselves.

First, I wanted to isolate the problem and so, I opened the doors a bit. But then, by accident, I found opening the doors improved the sound. And then, I discovered another problem and the solution fix for that. When I was pulling out this thin cable to get at the subwoofer, I got sidetracked by the improvement of FM reception!

So there you go. Problems fixed. Clearly, if you want optimal sound, you need to leave the cabinet doors slightly open and the thin cable lying out on the floor for improved reception. I hear you have a mouse problem, Mom. Maybe I should look into that too? *wink wink*
