Some Habits are Hard to Break.

Almost as much as he loves cardboard boxes and home decorating, Seth likes drinking from the kitchen faucet. We’ve had lots of talks, us and Seth, about this habit he began elsewhere before he was rescued. Given it’s the one bad habit he has, and he’s so darn polite about asking to do it, we begrudgingly allow it within reason. The day he decides he can turn on the faucet by himself is the day the kitchen becomes off-limits.

…Unless he uses that skill to fill a pan, cook some pasta, and serve up a gourmet meal. Then, it’ll be Okay. And he’ll be a hit on YouTube.

Maxx’s Cat Toy – Busy Bee.

All kitties should have toys. Ours does. But Maxx has special toys. He HAS to have his special toys. He loves his toys, his very special toys.

Here’s his favorite, his Busy Bee, a.k.a. a bear in a bee costume. Maxx carries his Busy Bee throughout the house while meowing, of course, with his mouth full of Bee. Busy Bee is left on chairs, on rugs, and in front of our closed bedroom door before dawn each day. Here Busy Bee waits near the food bowl where Maxx eats and often, when we don’t get up in the morning when impatient Maxx thinks we should, Busy Bee “goes for a swim with the fishes” in his water bowl.

Meet The Visitors – Big Boy Geoffrey.

Daily visitor Geoffrey. He’s a big boy, sturdy, hefty, a little bit of a neighborhood scrapper, probably more of a lover. Which reminds us to ask all owners to do the responsible thing by spaying or neutering your outside pets. No better time than the present, before Spring arrives and pets go a-wandering. Please.

We’re looking for room in our terribly squeezed budget to bite the bullet and officially adopt Geoffrey, not only because he and his not-so-little pink nose are adorable, but because we want to assure he stays safe and healthy. Which means no more early morning fights to gain attention of the ladies.
