Zooot took a cue from her housemate Seth and picked up the bad habit of drinking from the faucet. Now there’s no denying her. It’s hard to deny an orange cat.

New family member joins ColehausCats!
Many thanks to a special event held this past weekend at The Southwest Washington Humane Society, our family has increased in size. This pale apricot-colored ball of energy was handpicked by Mr. Colehaus himself, though to hear him tell the tale, it was she who picked him! Approximately two years old, with one litter of kittens already under her belt (PLEASE spay and neuter your pets!), she already answers to the name, “Newton,” named for her color which matches the color of the outside of a Fig Newton cookie.
Given a clean bill of health all around, she’s acclimating to a more human schedule behind closed bedroom doors for three weeks where she keeps her new parents awake much of the night with wild, exploratory rambunctiousness.
