Quint’s been hard at work this week creating new paintings for his art shop. And not a moment too soon! With a sell-out of his summer stock last weekend and a fun interview released just today on the Responsible Pet Ownership Blog, he’s been one busy boy! We hope you like his interview.
Here’s something else he’s been doing:
Every so often, often very late at night, we hear one of the kitties tugging at the window blinds so they can look out the window. Their view, at that time of night, is of the tops of dark fir trees and of the heavens and stars. We always figured it was Tessa weaseling her way onto the window sill, but nope. It was Quint.
An idea was born.
Our local craft store carries little 4×4 inch black canvases and small, simple easels for each canvas to sit on. Mom thought those would be great for…. something. She didn’t know what. Quint watching the stars became that something.
So Mom got out her big illustrated art book and mixed up starry paint and let Quint do his thing.

After a few more minutes dabbing paint, he notices something isn’t quite the same as Mr. Van Gogh’s painting.

And then, he gets it! He needs a moon!

That’s what’s missing. A paw wash and dry, a few more dabs of paint and the result…

You can find this masters-inspired, limited edition canvas run, which comes with an unpublished photo of Quint at work and a postcard at his art shop. Acrylic watercolor versions of the same painting on heavy art paper, without photo nor in limited edition, are available too along with his pre-fall ‘Touch of Autumn’ paintings. Don’t forget to check out Quint’s interview and then, go have a look at his new creations!
