In part two of our Young ‘Uns series, last spring when Tessa was delivered to us, she came with an extra helping of personality. Take a pose, for example. If you were to come visit Tessa, nine times out of ten you’d find her sitting somewhere with her front paws crossed over. She did it as a kitten; she does it as a young adult.
Is it comfortable? It must be. When she was younger, her legs seemed long. Maybe that had something to do with it?
Gee, my legs are so long and my mittens are so white, I don’t know what to do with them. Decisions, decisions. It’s tough to be a cat! For the time being, I’ll just criss-cross them.
Because she does it so often and because of all the danger and trouble she finds, we wondered if she criss-crossed her paws for luck. It’s worked for her so far! Doesn’t matter where she is – On the back of a chair…
Under the dining table…
Or on her favorite windowsill. Or just maybe, she crosses her lucky paws for all her Kitty Blog friends who might not be having the best of days. Have a good, safe weekend. Tessa’s crossing her paws for you!

No sign of babies from Erinn Zuzu ‘Cutie Patootie’ Niblet yet. She continues to put on weight just like she’s supposed to and is up a pound and a half since she was captured as a starving stray in mid-August. Always looking for a hand to rub against, she’s such a well-mannered and loving little girl. Imagine our surprise when her medical records finally came through yesterday stating she’s not a kitten at all but around four years old! Oh dear! Four years old and un-spayed? How many kittens do you suppose she might have had over the years?
Anyway, we’re looking forward to her time and have almost everything stocked up and ready for her big day. Why, just over dinner last night we discussed the importance of having fresh rubber nipples in the house… because why not?
