The weathermen said it was going to snow this morning. Then they said it wouldn’t. Then they said maybe. I’m pretty sure they don’t know what the weather is going to do from minute to minute but just in case that fluffy stuff does show up, you know where to find me.
If you missed it, we posted our Dear Niblets, Week Eight letter here. Our Niblets boys have just a week left before they join their forever homes and the loving families who have been patiently waiting so long.

Quint says: All last week my dad was on vacation and we got to sleep late every day… or at least, that was the plan. After many nights of my dad and me staying up until three and four in the a.m. watching movies and eating popcorn and cheese, mom decided we might have needed a slight change of schedule. Needless to say, I wasn’t exactly signed up on her scheme.

But I love my mom and everyone knows that moms know best. On that very morning and lucky for me, my painting studio was all set up before I’d barely opened my eyes. I’ll admit I was a little cranky at first when presented with a palette of paint instead of what I like to call my morning coffee – A few Feline Greenies. And mom said I was too much of a handful to get pictures but you know how much I don’t like that flashy box anyway, especially so early in the morning afternoon!

But all it took was a couple of paw dips and the ol’ painting spirit came upon me like gangbusters! I was flinging paint left and right, dabbing here, dabbing there. And then, I was done!
I hope you like my first 2013 holiday work that my mom is calling Holly Berries. I tried to keep it simple, not because I was barely awake but because in this hectic, manic world, sometimes simple is soothing. I’m working on a second 2013 holiday piece that I’ll make sure my mom posts about later this week. That one will be more colorful and festive and is inspired by all the bright, sparkly lights I can see from my windows. I can’t wait to finish that set.

Well, my dad is back at work this week and that means getting back to the old schedule… which I promise to do right after this much-needed nap. Happy Monday!

It’s hard to believe you’ve been with us eight weeks now; fourteen weeks if you count the time before you were born when you were just wee buns baking in the oven. And now a couple of you will be taking the next big step in your life – joining your forever families very soon. How fast you’ve all grown!
Next week is your first official adventure – your intake vet visit. Everyone there at the office is going to fall in love with you, we just know it. You can tell us all about your day when we come to pick you up. Then, just a few days later, the Niblet boys will be ready to begin their new lives!

Russell, we are so proud of how good of a boy you’ve become; so handsome, so smart, so playful and so darn cute. You’re going to be a sweetheart and a heartbreaker when you get a bit older with your rich ginger coloring, long, lanky legs and your mama’s big, round eyes. We are so happy to have had the chance to help raise a beautiful orange boy. We look forward to hearing updates on you, so be good!

Robbie, little Robbie Bobbie Boo. Those adorable expressive eyes, the way you continue to greet us first every time we enter your room, how you love to be held and kissed and petted. None of that ever gets old for you. You’re going to make the best cat ever for your new family. We’re going to miss you but more so, we’re so happy for you and what your new life holds for you. You too, be a good boy!

Illy and Viola, we’re still here for you, searching for your perfect forever families. We know they’re out there somewhere and maybe, with all the holiday fuss, they just don’t know yet that they are the right ones for you. Don’t worry your pretty little heads. Keep growing and playing and learning to be the best kitties you can be. Your time is coming. Your brothers might be leaving first but for you that simply means more attentive mama time here.
