She keeps trying, that mom of ours. Trying to get all us cats in the same picture. That’s never going to happen, you know. It’s an impossibility. Not only is sister Ruby luxuriating away in her own bedroom day and night, Olivia would most rather watch from behind the camera, Zuzu and Pia were off discussing the art of being Ginger Princesses and big brother Maxx isn’t all that keen yet on being around the pipsqueak here, not to mention the other mancat, Quint. What is it with you boys, anyway?

So really, if you kind of squint until your eyes go fuzzy and shake your head a little, it’ll almost look like all the Colehaus Cats are here in this photo. You can believe that, can’t you?

Dreaming of D.

All the Colehaus Cats are spending extra time with Dad today for Valentine’s Day while Mom is out of town at a speaking engagement. But Pia had had other plans. With no slight to Dad (we’re sure she’ll come running for special attention), she still felt the need to vent just a little.

My mom is out of town today, on Valentine’s Day. Can you believe it?? I had plans! I wanted to be with my sweetheart Dexter, the bestest, dreamiest, most romantic Mancat who ever walked the planet, but nooOOoooooo…. my mom had to be elsewhere on today of all days! Unthinkable!

My dad keeps saying this is my house now. I’m not sure what that means. Does it mean I can move the furniture around, ’cause I don’t think the placement is ideal for the best sound resonance for my late night howls. If it’s truly my house, I would remove all the sound-deadening things in the foyer and then, really let my voice rip.

So, I’m just sayin’, dad. If it were really my house now…
