I’ve been thinking a lot about my baby sister Viola, otherwise known around these parts as “The Squirt.” I mean, it’s hard not to think about her. She’s into EVERYTHING!

As I was saying, she get a lot of attention for all the trouble she gets into; I say trouble because if I climbed the curtains, I don’t think anyone would scoop me up to shower with kisses. I’m looking at you, mom.
So it stands to reason it’s her lack of a tail. No tail clearly equals extra attention. I thought I’d test this new theory.

Here I am, the new Maxx, sans tail. I’m waiting for my shower of kisses.
Waiting.
Still waiting.
Any minute now the kisses will begin.
I’m sure of it.

Hmmm, shot that theory all to pieces. Maybe going tail-less was too much of a shock. How about a short tail. Not my usual Maxx tail, but shorter. You know, cuter. Surely, kisses will be forthcoming.
Soon perhaps.
Today, even.
Mom! You’re wrecking my theory!*
*No Maxx went without kisses during the photographing and creation of this blog entry.
