03/06/2017 – Monday Wash Day
Every other week, unless otherwise warranted, Mom gathers up all the cat bedding and runs them through the laundry. This usually takes a couple of loads and that way, no one goes without something to lay on if their favorite blanket just happens to be in the wash. For the most part, this system works well.
But there always has to be that special snowflake.
Ruby, I need to wash your tower suite bedding today. C’mon out so I can swap your blanket out with another.
NOOooooyyYYYEEEEOOOOOW don’t think that’s a good idea today, Mom. I think you should go away and leave my Ruby-smelling blanket alone. You know how long it took me to get it smelling just right?
Doesn’t matter, sweetie. C’mon out. The sooner you do, the sooner you can stink up this new blanket.
Mom, I don’t think I like what you’re implying!
03/03/2017 – Curiouser and curiouser
On extra cold nights, we run a thin water trickle from the kitchen faucet to guard against pipes freezing and Mom thought why not capture that water for use elsewhere? And since we know how much Viola likes to get to the bottom of things, that meant Mom needed to watch to make sure The Squirt didn’t end up going for a swim.
In the end, Mom ended up pouring the water into our big backyard fountain because the bucket had cat fur in it. How that ever happened is a mystery.
