Tessa: Since last week, we’ve been stuck in the summer hots. Our area broke hot records and we even had an afternoon of rolling black-outs probably because everyone was trying to cool off, which was what the electricity did, too. It turned off. But not for too long.
Even though it was very, very bright outside… unbelievably bright, too bright to take a nap, one might observe, I remained calm.
When it got warm in the afternoon and the thought of a nap was just too hot, I stayed steadfast.
And when the fans stopped moving air and the hots started creeping in, I was a rock. A toasty rock.
When Mom came in from outside, she said the wind was like a blast furnace out there. And still, with furs mused by invisible forces, I continued onward unfettered by nature.
Face it, people. I was one cool blue cat.
And I think my cool look is way, way cooler than the look my sister Pia has going on at the moment.
