2012 was a big year for us at Colehaus. A big year for kitties, too. Tessa, Pia, Quint, Olivia and angel Miss Newton all joined us that year. You could have called us the Bouncy House of Kittens, or better still, The House of Bouncy Kittens. To think they all got along famously back then, *sigh* No growling, no whapping, no hogging favorite boxes, no complaining.
On second thought, sounds a little too quiet. We like it just as it is.
If you’ve noticed Quint and Tessa seem to be hanging out together often lately, you’re right. They are buddy-ing around a lot recently. There was a time when independent Danger Cat Tessa wouldn’t put up with anything like that. She’s becoming a softer, gentler, snuggle cat in her years (7 years old this year), but we wouldn’t testify to that in court. She still has a mean wild streak!
Please bear with us while Dad works hard to fix our house computer, our only computer, that had a catastrophic failure Wednesday evening, taking with it not one but both external hard drives where we kept all backups. In essence, we’ve lost everything. 7 years of cat blog posts, thousands of emails, comments and possibly photos, including Photoshop we use to create everything. Really, you have no idea what pains it took to add just this snippet of information to this post last night that was originally written three days ago.
Our weekend plan to get Autumn Quint paintings up for sale is, regrettably, on hold until further notice. Our deepest sorrow and apologies to everyone who’s been waiting so long.
Posts have been pre-written through the end of October. If we can’t fix this (we cannot afford a new computer at this point), we’ll be away until something gives.
