Good-bye July. You were hot and too dry and honestly, we just wanted you to be over with about 25 days ago. No offense meant. At least, you weren’t as awful as the end of June was so, there’s that. See you again next year. Bring some rain with you next time, okay?
Now that THAT’S out of my system, time to settle in for my first three naps of the day!

Found kittens, little Scott and sister Hawthorne
You angels who helped the kittens Mom and coworkers found at work by sending money to pay for their first vet visit, you should sing too! The pair, a boy and a girl, are remarkably healthy for being born and raised in an uncooled, high traffic warehouse during the height of our unusually high summer weather, and are doing very well, according to the vet and their foster mom. She says they spend their days romping, playing, eating well, and sleeping. Everything rescued kittens should do.
The bigger of the two, a soft, tabby gray with white highlights, mittens and, perhaps, hints of cream, is a girl named Hawthorne and the small boy, a dark tabby with white highlights and mittens, is named Scott. They are estimated to be around six weeks old and we suspect they will have medium length fur. Once they put on a bit more weight they’ll get their shots and a schedule for spay and neuter.
The mother cat was never found (there are LOTS of open exits throughout the building) but you can be sure workers will keep looking out for her should she return (hopefully without more kittens)!
Thank you, angels, for helping to take care of these little ones!
