11/26/2021 – Finally Friday

Mom, remember when you said you and me had a very special date this weekend? Well, I’m waiting, though I don’t know how much longer I’ll patient at it!

Pretty, poofy Pia with poofier pantaloons, you won’t be terribly impressed with your special date because Mom’s also invited the clippers. Those pantaloons have taken on a life of their own. It’s time. Mom promises it will go fast (as if that’s ever happened) and you and your behind will be much happier.

And that’s only one of many things Mom has lined up for her first holiday/vacation days off.

  1. Pia’s pantaloons.
  2. Repaint kitchen ceiling (due to upstairs laundry room washer hose bursting back in September causing water leak and minor kitchen ceiling staining).
  3. Cat photos (Are we doing Christmas photos this year or not?) and blog posts.
  4. Put up outdoor Christmas lights (or is Mom going to be a Grinch like she was last year?)
  5. Final lawn mow/edge of 2021.
  6. Rake leaves/cut back shrubs and perennials for yard debris pickup.
  7. Wash car. Please.
  8. Laundry (check for soap first!).
  9. Cook pasta to freeze for work lunches.
  10. Scrub shower doors.
  11. Finish reading current book (Dead Men Do Tell Tales).

If Mom’s not careful, her entire five days off will be gone and she’ll go back to work just as exhausted as she comes home feeling every night!

Okay, Pia. Time for your special date! Pia, oh, Pia. Pia? Where are you, Pia?

11/24/2021 – Caption This!

There seemed to be a standoff. Olivia had her eye on one of Quint’s stripey balls and Quint was “guarding” Olivia’s favorite ring toy. Neither were talking to one another. Neither were making eye contact with each other. And neither were playing with the other’s toys. It was if they were studying each other’s toys, perhaps to figure out why the toys were special; the ring to Olivia, the ball to Quint. Were they waiting to get some kind of toy vibe? Were the toys “speaking” to them? What was this all about?

Or, maybe it’s just another Quint and Olivia album cover photo.

Mom believes this photo is to remind her that 1) she needs to find more cat-sized boxes, especially since Tessa seems to be taking over possession of Viola’s favorite old HP papers box more often (this box is now over three years old, and is without a single barf or poop accident to date!), and 2) Viola needs even more kisses than she’s been getting lately.

Okay, some Tessa kisses are probably due, too.

Yeah, probably need more boxes. Oh, and kisses.

Thank you, dear angel, for sending us good things from our Amazon wish list for Thanksgiving and for thinking of us! Sending hugs and purrs . . .
