This Finally Friday finds Mom extra glad it’s Friday because after a few tough weeks of pinching pennies, it’s payday. Does that mean we rich? Not anyone around here that we know of, but we might afford a fast food dinner which always includes a couple of cats who have taken up begging for a French fry or two.
Quint, do you want a French fry with dinner tonight?
Naw, I’m good.
(Just watch and wait – he ALWAYS politely asks for a French fry.)
Viola, you want a French fry with your dinner?
No Fries! I’m always watching my girlish figure!
. . . and she does a great job of that. Viola NEVER begs for people food.
Tessa, do you want a French fry to go with dinner?
Hmm, no, but if you’re buying I’ll take a burger with extra cheese and hold all those veggie things. Make it two and I’ll love you for life.
Well . . . no. But thanks for voicing your preference!
And there you have it. Everyone “claims” they don’t want a French fry with their dinners yet we know if we brought any home, at least 2 would change their minds, guaranteed. How about we just enjoy the thought that today was payday and save those pinched pennies for another day.

Da Boyz were just all over our carry-out lunch, but they really had no joy as it was vegan and spicy.
