Hello Tessa! Tessa will be turning 14 years old sometime next month and we’re seeing the signs of aging in her. She thinner than the chunky tuxie she used to be some 6 or 7 years ago. She isn’t as fond of jumping up on the forbidden buffet (boo-fay) as she used to be but still occupies the kitchen counter top if she gets a whiff of ground turkey or cheese. She’s our official taste tester and in case either turkey or cheese isn’t up to her standards, she WILL let you know about it.
Later this month or early next month, she’ll go in for a new vet checkup and shot updates. Vet visits with Tessa run either hot or cold. She can be a lovey, snuggly sweetheart. Or, she can force vet assistants to break out the Kevlar gloves and full body armor. We never know which Tessa she plans to be that day. Mom has learned that vets don’t really like it when she steps in, takes charge by grabbing Tessa by the scruff and delivering a stern talking to. Or pressing her thumb onto her forehead. Tessa really doesn’t like that but it does get Mom’s point across, that being, “Tessa, I’m bigger than you. Stop being a jerk. Right now.”
14 years ago, we’d planned to add a black and white tuxie boy to our family but at the time, our area was sorely lacking in those and we gave up. Not more than a month later, Tessa came into our lives, almost as if she knew we needed a gray and white girl tuxie and that she’d be THE One.
Yep, she’s been the one all righty!

Aww, what a sweet baby! I hope the vet check up goes well, and she is a lovey sweetheart!
Such a sweet baby and still a beauty. I hope all goes well at the vet. My Penny goes crazy even on meds and the vet won’t let me help as they are afraid of getting sued which makes no sense if my own cat harms me. XO
Oh yeah, you can see that cattitude in her baby pics!
Go get ’em, Tessa.
A precious girl, then and now!
Tessa is most certainly the one! We have our paws and fingers crossed for the vet appointment. XO
