Monday is laundry day, usually. And, usually, Pia helps by holding down bed blankets. It’s a known fact blankets don’t really like being washed and will scurry away and hide if given half a chance. Never have this problem here, thanks to Pia.
Downstairs, the daily taunting continues. Viola glares at sister Tessa who taunts Viola to just try to come claim this scratcher.
Shortly afterward, Tessa succeeded in shredding this poor little scratcher so badly, all the sisal fell off in short bits, along with some of the staples holding it together, and before anyone could make a tasty sisal snack of the pile, Mom scooped it up and dumped the whole thing into the trash. You can bet Viola wasn’t happy about not getting a shot at ripping it up herself!
Back upstairs, Quint is all ears, listening for the vacuum cleaner, while sister Olivia naps, knowing vacuuming doesn’t happen until later in the day. Unless Tessa plans to shred something else. All bets are off, then!
