It’s time for our heater and heat pump maintenance and checkup today. Tessa’s alert and wondering what all the banging and hammering’s all about. So is Dad. There shouldn’t be any problems. It’s cold out there. It’s warm inside. All good, right?
Dad, is that noise really necessary? It’s kind of loud, don’t you think? It’s . . . unsettling. Are you unsettled? I think I’m unsettled.
And we think you all know where Quint’s at.
Yep, safe in his blanket fort probably singing to himself so he can’t hear the maintenance guys.
As long as anything isn’t amiss, this checkup won’t cost us anything and is a part of the warranty. Things seem to be running just fine. New parts and a new indoor thermostat was added last summer at the last maintenance checkup. We expect to hear all’s good. Surely, they don’t charge for hammering on things.
