What did Dad call me?
He said you’re being an odd bird today. I think he was referring to you being under the covers which is definitely not your usual style. Even you have to acknowledge that.
What does a bird have to do with being under the covers? There’s no bird under here with me. Do birds even go under covers, even know what covers are?
Good questions, Tessa. If it makes you feel better, you can call Dad the odd bird today.
Later in the day:

Dad was just in here a while ago looking at me. Is he thinking about that bird again?
Who knows what Dad thinks. Maybe he was surprised to see you here on your heated bed instead of still being under the covers. Maybe he thought . . .

I think you have it right, Mom. No need for extra explanation, or what he maybe thought. Dad’s the real odd bird today.

You’re just keeping your humans on their toes!
Dads are different, just let them be so and don’t overanalyze, it will make your brain tired.
Sounds like there’s a whole lot lot of feathers going on at your place, Tessa (and Dad Cole)!
