09/14/2018 – Friday’s Facts or Fibs

Today, we’re listing five items that may or may not be true. Three are absolute truths and two are wild statements without any truth whatsoever. Can you spot the fibs?

1. When a big truck rumbles down the street, Quint and Olivia race to the front window to watch.

3. All Colehaus ginger girls – Pia, Miss Newton and Angels Zuzu and Sunny have or had more solid black whiskers than white whiskers, as tributes to their Tortie mamas.

4. Tessa is the official house cheese taste tester. And she won’t let you forget it. Ever.

5. In an escape attempt, a frightened Angel G.B. once ran over a visitor’s bare foot so fast, the visitor required stitches on two toes.

Think you know these Colehaus Cats? How’d you do?

Numbers 1 and 2 are complete fibs. If anything, when a noisy truck rumbles down the road, Quint and Olivia race to the bedroom to hide under the covers. And if you’ve been reading Colehaus Cats for any length of time, you might recall The Baby definitely does not like to be called The Baby!

Surprise! Numbers 3, 4 and 5 are complete truths. Every ginger girl we’ve had has had more black whiskers than white. And every one had a Tortie mom! If you listen to Tessa, she’ll insist she’s the Official Taste Tester of EVERYTHING! Dear Angel G.B., sibling sister to ginger girl Zooot, was so frightened of everything from the time she was a bottle baby until she passed. It was just her personality and we tried everything to help her with that, including rarely inviting visitors, to no avail.

  1. I got one right. I went for #1 and 5.
    Will do the puzzle shortly.

  2. Brian Frum says:

Those were good! Brother Simon doesn’t like noisy trucks either!

  3. Rene S says:

I wonder what color Lucy’s mom was. She has just one black whisker. Interesting.

  4. da tabbies o trout towne says:

tessa…can eye come stay with ewe….eye used ta bee given a tinee peece oh cheeze everee day…like noe joke…thiz big ___ and now eye due knot even get that!!!!! bee coz sum one heer FSG iz veree veree veree bad ~~~~~~

    signed: tuna of moon ♥♥

  5. I failed miserably on this one! I thought #4 & #5 were false!
We wish the Chili Bruce would grow back his one white whisker, but we’ve gotten pretty good at telling the two black kitties apart, except when they are curled up asleep with each other, then all bets are off!

  6. We guessed #1 was a fib, but weren’t sure about the others. But now we remember that Viola is not the Baby. 🙂

  7. Perfect score for me–all wrong! The odds of getting them all wrong are the same as getting them all correct. So I’m a winner?

  8. Summer says:

I got one of the two right! I will say, I had no doubt about Tessa being the cheese taste tester!

  9. katie isabella says:

I got two right as well! I knew they wouldn’t be running to the window to view the truck!

  10. What a wonderful post. We were going to go with #1 and #3. Viola doesn’t like to be called the baby. We think those trucks are scary too Quint and Olivia. Better to get into your favorite hiding spot. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful weekend.

  11. Finally! I got them right this time! I didn’t know the ginger ladies had tortie moms – but that makes sense. Gingers are usually boys – so it makes sense since torties are usually ladies. Genetics isn’t my thing, but it’s fun to speculate about.

  12. Ellen Pilch says:

I had one right, but I thought #5 was a fib-yikes for that visitor. Thanks for the puzzle 🙂 Have a nice weekend.

  13. Mark's Mews says:

In spite of knowing that 2 were fibs in advance, we went for all being true. That way, we were sure to get 3 right, MOL!

  14. Aww man… I haven’t had access to my computer for a few months and didn’t know that Sunny and Ruby had both crossed the Rainbow bridge. I am so sorry to hear of their passings. They will truly be missed!

  15. meowmeowmans says:

Hooray! We guessed correctly! Re, #5: Your poor visitor. Ouch!!!
