09/06/2021 – Reporter Olivia

Mom’s been reminding me that I haven’t been tattling reporting on much lately. To get her off my back, let me recall some good, juicy bits I’d been saving for just such an event. Oh, don’t get me wrong; I LOVE my Mom, even more now than ever. Maybe because she’s not home as often due to something called Working, or maybe though very doubtful, as she puts it in a roundabout sort of way, “That sweetest of sweet black kitties, that Baby Panther who used to be aloof and not social, is getting older.”

That’s completely uncalled for!

My annoying baby sister thought to get even more of Dad’s attention by saying her legs suddenly gained a mind of their own and wandered off. He found them laying near the glass door under the curtain. Perhaps not surprisingly, he found the rest of her there, too. And you know what? She got extra attention. Clearly, this ploy worked. My advice? Take notes, everyone!

Later on, while I was taking full advantage of a soft seat on a corner of a rug, minding my own business, and reminiscing about other infractions, my big sister Pia glared at me and told me I was nosey.

Ha! Whatever that means!

Later still, while I was enjoying a brief moment in some sunshine, and showing off my super secret ninja tabby stripes I might add, my oldest of old sisters Tessa tried to steal my thunder by being a copycat. Yep, if you look up the word copycat in some dictionaries, it shows a picture of her. It’s true!

It was just about that time when I remembered I hadn’t gotten anything on my brother Quint. How could that be? He’s always got his nose some place where it shouldn’t be. Surely, he’s not THAT good of a cat, could he be?

Then, I remembered he usually hangs out in the kitchen watching Dad make pizza dough, the thing Dad learned to do over the past year. Even Dads need snoopervising!

But thinking more about my brother made me think, “That’s not right. Making dough is noisy and with all that flour dust going everywhere, there’s no way, he’d be making a mess in the kitchen with Dad. So, where, most likely, would my brother be?” I pondered and pondered and suddenly, I had the answer, as if that could be anything different.

Of course! Where else would he be? Why, in his under-the-covers Quint fort, that’s where! That’s one boy who knows exactly what he likes and being snuggled under bed covers is his favorite thing of all, even over sneaking a bit of pizza cheese! Nope, I can’t even report he stole some cheese.

I have more to report but it’s been a warm day and this ham-mick looked so comfy, I’ll end this report with this House Panther heading off to Napland. You should too!
