Shhh, Mom! I’m concentrating on growing mats!
Before Pia got her reverse Mohawk haircut, she was angry at us for trying to comb and Furminate her back fur mats out. It was hard to imagine whether she was mad at us for trying to untangle her mats or at us for simply thinking about untangling her mats. Or maybe because we talked about little else for a week.
Nope, you do not want a ginger girl mad at you. No one wants to see this angry, disappointed face day after day.

Our Angel Zoey would grow enough mats for two cats (or more) and yes: oh the angry face when her humans decided it was time for them to go, go, go … one way or t’other!

My 19-year-old cat has medium long hair and a mat jungle. She never liked being groomed and now is too old to be put under for shaving. Keep after those mats!

Oh those mats… I’m not a matty kinda cat, myself, but Anderson and Rushton? I’m tellin’ ya, if the peep LOOKED at ’em the wrong way, their fur would mat. MOUSES!
