Something terrible happened yesterday. While Viola was briefly out of the box she loves (that happens to be in the middle of the kitchen island which we don’t love), someone else jumped into it . . . and barfed in it.

This box, this one last white HP papers box we’ve had for half a decade or more, has seen many accidents over the years. Chewy provides the layers of crinkly paper we keep in the bottom to help absorb those accidents. Shh, don’t tell Viola that. She thinks it’s special “just for her” crinkly for crinklies sake!

But this time was different. There was no salvaging this accident. It was simply a huge, soaking, stinky mess and so, without ceremony, into the trash it went. Viola was crushed, even more so because it was the last one and we don’t have another box the same size.

While we try to find something suitable (unlikely anytime soon), let’s enjoy the final days of the box with the kitty who loved it.

Every morning, and now that it’s light out at 5:30am, Mom looks outside our kitchen window to see if Mr. G is around. See if you can spot him today. It won’t always be easy.

That is so sad. Maybe Staples would have one you could grab before they recycle. I think I see the kitty. XO

  5. OMC we are so sorry about your box. We know how hard it will be to find a new one.

Oh noes! We are so sorry, sweet Viola. We hope you can get a new box — maybe Mom and Dad can get you a new one? XO
