05/08/2023 – A Different Monday

It’s an odd day here at Colehaus. Not because workers are here fixing the hole in our ceiling, but because we no longer have a hole in our ceiling! Just when we got used to it, Mom and Dad go and have it repaired.

For those who might have forgotten how it looked for one year, one month, and 21 days:

All that’s left is for Mom to lightly sand in a few spots, paint the entire wall (due to texture overspray), and paint the ceiling, neither of which she says will happen before June or perhaps later. And that’s because Mom is beginning a 2-year training program at work that has switched up her schedule for a few weeks. She says the drywall mud needs to cure anyway and we need to get used to having a whole house again.

So, I guess my schedule has changed too and because the workers are gone, I won’t be hiding out in my brother Quint’s super secret blanket fort anymore. I was just getting used to that!

  1. Olivia, keep on hiding…Quint does it!
Concats on your 2-year training course; hope it mean more green papers in the pocket.

Wow, you have a ceiling! That sure was a long time coming, but woohoo!

We hope Mom’s two-year training program is going well, and that it means more of those green papers for all her hard work!
