This is my rat. I like it almost as much as I like my Busy Bee, whom I tell everything to. I used to share all my secrets with my rat but he betrayed me once and now things aren’t the same.

You see, while this is my rat, he’s not the first rat in my life. My favorite of all rats, Rat Number One was swayed to the dark side by that buff-colored cat, Miss Newton who took Rat Number One and made it her bitch own.

I apologize for that vulgar word. You didn’t need to hear that. It’s just,…that rat made me so mad! I hear Miss Newton carries it everywhere, up and down the stairs, from room to room, into the kitchen to snuggle with under the dining table. Mind you, I haven’t seen that in person, and I don’t want to either! She loves on him and is probably eeking secrets out of him all the time. Typical. Rats aren’t be trusted. That’s why even though I keep this one close, he isn’t my bestest rat. I know someday he’ll join Rat Number One and so the secrets I tell him…are fibs. Well, mostly.

He’s second rat around here and I’m not going to let him forget it. At least, that’s what I tell him.

  8. We hope you can keep that rat in line, Maxx. Rats are known not to listen. You may have to whap him into submission.

  9. Kitties Blue says:

That’s why they call those who tell their friend’s secrets, “dirty rats.” They may not be very trustworthy, but that is one good looking rat. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

  16. Timmy Tomcat says:

We agree that those Rats are untrustworthy! At the Tomcat Home we stick with the mousies which are a bit better, but, still…
What you need is a nice Kleiban Kitty like mine. Totally, absolutely a confidant for the good stuff. I have to keep tight reign on my little pal.
