Believe.
Believe. Merry Christmas to all, from Colehaus Cats.
In the spirit of believing, we chose to help a cat in need by bringing someone home for the holidays. Pearl is an eight year old girl who was surrendered to the shelter a few months ago with a small handful of other animals when her elderly owner could no longer care for them. She loves being talked to and purrs easily in addition to being an unusually beautiful black, brown and ginger orange striped tabby who misses belonging to a family.
We’re giving her some space to become used to our quiet routine but have introduced her to brushings (and checked for fleas – not a one!) and treats. Even though she’s a girl who prefers to be by herself, we’re hoping for a Christmas miracle by waking up tomorrow morning with her snuggled closeby instead of sitting in her chosen spot under our tall bed. But if not tomorrow, we’re made of patience. Maybe it’ll happen the day after or next weekend or next month. We can wait.
Getting Festivus.
‘Tis almost time for Festivus and the Airing of Grievances and Feats of Strength. And let’s not forget Festivus Miracles!
Seth, having memorized and practiced reciting everyone’s list of grievances for the occasion, chucked the whole lot into the garbage once the special blue and gold sparkly bow was placed around his neck. With an almost murderous look in his eye, one doesn’t need to think hard on his top grievance now. As for Feats of Strength, just wait until he gets this bow off, and as for the Festivus Miracle, you can bet he’s got something in store for Mom who just HAD to have this photo.
Uh huh, it’ll be EPIC!
