We Apologize.

Pia: We would like to apologize on behalf of our Mom who has been lax in getting some important things posted here on Colehauscats.com. Lots of good people have sent us awards lately, before Christmas even, and our poor Mom was saving them up until now. Between petting us, cleaning our room, whipping out that flashy box all the time, loving us, helping our little brother Quint paint, giving us treats, the holiday things, more petting, oh, and helping a whole shelter find homes for so many unwanted kitties, she’s not forgotten anything…just kept waiting for some silly reason.

Quint: Blah, blah, blah, holiday excuse, other holiday excuse, blather, blather…

Pia: What? Excuse me, did you have something to add, little brother? Hmmm?

Quint: Who me? No, not really. I’m just laying here quiet as a mouse.

Pia: See what we have to deal with around here? Anyhoo, she’ll get to those matters pronto and post those on our Awards page. Again, we apologize and thank you wonderful blog pals for your patience!

Young Maxx and the Bronze Bunny.

Once upon a time, when Maxx was very young, he was unsure of himself and much of his surroundings.

“What’s this strange place and all these strange things?” he’d ask himself every day, having been rescued from living outside with flowers, nature and all sorts of scary things and expected to become an indoor-only boy with indoor-only rules.

“I don’t know if I like this or not,” he’d grumble and glare each time the walls were made another color, rugs were taken up or shifted or some trinkets were arranged, and then rearranged just so.

“Everything just sits, unless the people are fussing. Nothing moves. There’s nothing to attack. This isn’t natural at all!”

And so began Maxx’s obsession with decor, object placement and dislike for bronze bunnies. We accept the blame completely.
