How have you been? Did you have a good summer? I’ve heard you like black kitties and I have been an extra good one this year.

I don’t even mind when Mom cuts my ears out of the photo anymore. I know she’s trying to get better at that. Um, at including my ears, not cutting them out.

I inspected lots of fruit this year, and found it all good. If anyone told you I whapped this apple off the counter, they are fibbing. It was some mystery cat who sneaked in and put the blame on me.

I’m sure I am topping your Nice list but in the rare case you might mistake me with a certain dilute ginger sister of mine, not that I think you would ever make a mistake, I thought I would ask that when you are making your list that you check it twice to see that I have been a very good girl.

Thank you for all your good thoughts, prayers, and good wishes last week for Sunny and her test results. They worked!

Sunny was happy and frisky all weekend, and we’re happy too, after receiving news that her removed fluid cyst and underlying mass that had formed along her spine was benign, nothing more than a sweat pore that had gone bonkers. Her stitches come out today and she has nothing more, vet visit-wise, until her yearly check up next year. Nothing more to do other than to grow back that big patch of shaved fur on her back. That and to keep trying to goad Miss Newton into playing chase.

… there is one little orange girl here who is on Santa’s naughty list. What ever happened to the yeow-ly, but sweet dilute ginger girl we knew? Miss Newton has spent the past few months jumping up to places she’s known for years she’s not supposed to go, and Dad seems to constantly be yelling at her to stay down… for all the good that does…

Before you say, well, Quint can defend himself; he now has a big scratch under one eye, and certainly, Tessa can easily fend off petite Miss Newton, you should know that a certain Danger Cat a.k.a. Tessa has somehow grown into a big, plush, lovey-dovey pussycat lately. Must have permanently given up her bannister surfing lessons.

Before the Colehaus Cats you know now, in the ancient, olden days of yore, before there were many cats on the Internets, there were two earlier batches of Colehaus Cats. Sadly, we don’t have much in the way of photos from the very first group, but we do have good records of the second.

Lounging in the original Cat Den before cabinets and cat trees, clockwise from lower left corner, Queen Crits in the round bed giving gray, ex-feral Cameron a bath. Big ginger boy Ian weighed in at forty-three pounds and defied nearly all attempts at dieting (he finally came down to twenty-five with ultra strict vet monitoring). Dilute tortie G.B. naps in the upper corner. Almost white Skitters adopted us when we helped him recover from being nailed shut in an attic by a bad neighbor. And ginger girl Zooot, outgoing sibling to sister G.B loved snuggling anywhere her favorite blanket lay.

All are at the Rainbow Bridge now, undoubtedly sticking together, sharing and remembering good times. You can read more about each one here at our Never Forgotten – OTRB link.
