01/23/2017 – MultiCat Monday
Absolutely none of these cats are supposed to be on the counter.
So, what are they doing up there?
Waiting for water to magically come out of the faucet.
They do have a clean and full water bowl* sitting right there, conveniently behind the faucet. That’s because someone a long time ago trained his sisters that water from the faucet outclasses all water sitting around in boring bowls. Mom thought she’d break that bad habit.
No one uses the water bowl. Mom won’t turn on the water faucet. It’s a battle of wills. Who do you think won this round?
*They also have two full bowls of clean water in their cat room AND two more plus a running fountain in Ruby and Sunny’s room that is open to the rest of the house during daytime hours.

While wondering who might have won this round of faucet versus water bowl war, here’s a puzzle of this photo courtesy of JigsawPlanet.com
Have fun and a great Monday!
01/20/2017 – Checking in with Ruby and Sunny
Thanks for helping us celebrate our five-year blogoversary Wednesday! So many kind words, so many good thoughts. We promise to keep on doing what we’re doing if you promise to let us know what isn’t working, okay?
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Mom thought she would check up on how Ruby was getting along sharing her luxury suite with Sunny. I tagged along because I stick my nose into everyone’s business as a roving reporter, I get special backstage access.
Ruby, how you doing? How’s it going with Sunny staying in here with you? Comfortable? You need anything? Ruby? Ruby? Can you hear me, Ruby Roo?
To which Ruby replied, “I’m not deaf. I’m ignoring you. Come back when I’m more awake, please.”
And so, a couple of hours later, Mom asked again. Ruby? Oh good, you’re awake! So, how are things in here with Sunny? You two getting along okay?
“Sure, we get along great. She gets along with everyone but I was worried she was going to try to steal my tower. But you know what? She couldn’t care less about my tower. It’s all mine!”
That’s great to hear, Ruby! Sounds like everything is going swell in here! So, no worries, right?
“Well, there is one thing I might have to worry about. She seems to steal all the spotlight. Do you think she will share that?”
We’re sure she’ll share the spotlight. We thought you weren’t that big on having your photo taken but if that’s changed, let’s ask Sunny if she’ll share the camera attention.
Sunny, you do seem to like the camera and the camera likes you. You think you might want to share the spotlight with your sister Ruby? Sunny? Sunny, did you hear me?
“I might be old but I’m not deaf. Because I’m busy, I’m just ignoring you. Ask me later.
And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. Two senior cats, neither deaf, both ignoring Mom. It’s like a match made in heaven. Your roving reporter out!
