Yes, Olivia has a trout. None of the other cats have a trout, nor do any of them care about Olivia’s trout or the fact that, at night, she carries it around upstairs while meowing very softly, as if she’s aware some of us are sleeping, or at least, trying to sleep with all that muffled meowing going on. Well, that’s about all there is to say about Olivia’s trout.
Last week, in a really cool bag of toys a Friend of Colehaus sent us (Mom squeeed over those!), we found another fish. A bass, or at least that’s what we’re calling it. No word yet if Olivia’s trout is about to be usurped by The Bass. We’ll keep you informed on any developments.
Yep, it’s cold here, with ice and snow predicted most of this week, not that Quint is a chilly cat. That’s one of those radiant heat pads over him. All the Colehaus Cats go through phases wherein they will ignore all blankets, bedding and pads for months and months. Then, all of a sudden, it’s like they rediscover all the comfy and cozy bedding they have and each stake out their claims.
We’re not fans of cats on the kitchen counter, but they’re cats, so what can one do? *shrugs shoulders* Pia’s never been a fan of getting up on the counter, thankfully. But every great once in a while…
What can we say? This is Tessa, in a box. Of all the cat photos on the Internet, we think the number of photos of cats in boxes probably top everything. And here’s another.
Toys are another thing that goes in phases around here. NO ONE will pay attention to these Ring o’ Fun/trackball toys for months, years even. And then, *poof* they are popular again! Go figure!
BTW, this is actually two trackball toys stacked together. The smaller blue one was angel Mama Zuzu’s and wee baby Viola’s favorite:
Last week, we mentioned we had added an Amazon wishlist button and that we didn’t know yet for certain if it worked. Honestly, we had no expectations. We figured we’d send something to ourselves once we won a lottery we don’t play or that Nigerian prince would finally come through.
Well, you, all of you, went right on out there, checked for us and have had so many great and wonderful things sent to us. Quint’s Fancy Feast and Tessa, Pia, Olivia and Viola’s chicken Iams and litter and toys for all, too! Well needed food and soap, cleaning supplies and personal items, tea and coffee to get us though the mornings, cat water fountain filters and gift cards and then, many of you clicked on our PayPal Donate button over there on the right sidebar and gave there, too.
To all that initiative, thoughtfulness, kindness and incredible generosity, we shout a hearty THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU, oh, THANK YOU! From the bottom of our hearts, let us THANK YOU!
