Pia is alert after hearing Mom talk about getting out the fur clippers. Wouldn’t you be?

Quint’s mulling over Dad’s recent work computer re-configuration. Meanwhile, Mom was having an OCD fit over the wire/cord mess.

Outside our kitchen window, we have a morning visitor to one of our flower pots. Bet she’s just as thankful for returning perennial flowers as we are!

Over the years, we’ve added a photo here and there of elusive Pierre, who lives in a fine house up the street. Imagine, if you may, Mom’s utter surprise when, after some 5 or 6 years, Pierre finally deemed her worthy and approached looking for some pets.

An astounded Mom reports Pierre is soooo soft and mostly mat-free. He likes some brushies, dislikes dried chicken treats and temptingly, shows his belly often.

Mom knows better than to pet the belly, especially a new friend belly. Overall, Mom is over the moon. This was a long challenge. While she hoped she’d make a new friend of Rusty or that new shortfur black cat, she’s completely ecstatic over finally winning Pierre’s trust. Victory!

Lastly, after our earlier attempt at filling two boxes with cats on the island failed, now both Viola and Tessa think to “share” the space. Yeah, right . . . Ought to be an interesting weekend.
Hope your weekend is a good one!
