Last month, we sprung for a twenty dollar set of washable dining chair covers. Over the years, the pleather had deteriorated on the chair seats and though re-upholstering had been in the budget, that bathroom leak problem wiped that budget off the map. While we recoup that cost, Mom thought these stretchy covers would do. And while Viola seems to like them now, it took her a week or so to trust the fabric.

I’m not sure about this, Mom.

What’s not to like, Viola? It should be warmer sitting on them, the color goes nicely with your fur . . . and Mom’s work pants as we see she collects your fur after sitting down to have morning coffee. Clearly, Mom’s chair is your favorite. You get a warm spot. Mom takes your fur to work. So we ask again, what’s not to like?
