3/6/2026 – All the Pretty Ones

Pretty neighborhood visitor P stopped by for some special Temptation treats that only she gets from Mom. Mom says, “We’ve had this lone bag of Temptation treats for 3 years now, and though it’s a big bag, only P likes them. So only P gets them, and just 3 for each visit.”

Goes to show you how often, or not, P visits. P is currently in a witness protection program hence, her name P. Besides, no one would believe her real name is Princess. Oops!

Millie might visit our feeding station every day, or maybe she doesn’t, but when she does, she knows where the food bowl is! She’s still not putting on weight however. 🙁

She is so pretty! We are starting to believe Millie was human-oriented at some point. She has a routine with Mom and witnessed by Dad more than once. Mom comes out the side garage door, Millie comes out of the feeding station (if she’s in there), she stands in front of Mom and s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s out one paw and lightly touches the toe of Mom’s shoe. Then she looks up at Mom once and goes back to the feeding station to eat. What is this behavior?

Quint says, “Oh? So, it’s routine you want? How about if I stand here staring at you until you share your turkey. That’s cute AND pretty, am I right?”

Sure Quint, we’ll share. Better to share with you than some pretty but wild animal who’s likely to *bite our fingers off!

*We know full well raccoons are wild animals and would never, ever, intentionally touch one. We like every one of our fingers just the way they are.

** Not counting the time back in 2017 when a baby raccoon accidentally booped Mom’s finger when she was photographing it.

  1. P has very interesting fur colors.
Racoons are very smart; they know how to play the game.
    Quint is very smart too.

Quint loves comments and hopes you leave one, maybe two?
